Torque Release Technique

Dr. Taylor is Advanced Proficiency Certified in Torque Release Technique (TRT for short). Torque Release Technique is a specialized neurological analysis that allows Dr. Taylor to know where in your spine you have nerve interference, which is expressed by subluxation of the spine. When a bone becomes misaligned this is called a subluxation, a subluxation causes nerve interference.

Utilizing the TRT protocol, Dr. Taylor can confidently know where in your spine to deliver a “low-force”, “neurologically-based”, “subluxation-centered” chiropractic adjustment. When a subluxation is removed this helps the brain to communicate down the spinal cord and out the nerves to the rest of the body more efficiently. Simply put, the body is able to heal and correct itself in the long term, providing improved relief and health.

The way that we deliver the chiropractic adjustment at Renegade Chiropractic is simple. We utilize an instrument called the Integrator to deliver about 90% of the chiropractic adjustments that we find necessary. The Integrator is precise, specific, gentle, fast, effective, reliable, and consistent. The Integrator replicates the entire thrust and movement components of Toggle Recoil. Toggle Recoil is the Chiropractic method of adjusting by hand. The difference between the integrator and the Toggle Recoil is that the integrator performs the adjustment at 1/10,000th of a second every time it used for an adjustment. The Integrator is the only FDA approved device for adjustment of a Vertebral Subluxation. Torque Release Technique as a whole was founded out of randomized controlled trials for the purpose of increasing state of well-being and human potential.

Pediatrics

At Renegade Chiropractic we know that Pediatric Chiropractic helps healthy kids become healthy adults. Oftentimes when we ask parents if they are having a boy or a girl, we hear parents respond with, “it doesn’t matter, we just want them to be healthy.” We see many children in our office suffering from things like: ear infections, colic, bedwetting, digestive issues, allergies, asthma, immunodeficiencies, ADD/ADHD, Autism, and other Sensory Processing Disorders.

While chiropractic is not a “treatment” for any of these conditions, we deliver gentle, specific adjustments to the spine, taking tension off the nerves, allowing the brain and body to communicate properly and, most importantly, allowing every child to grow and develop at 100% of their potential. Because sick kids will grow to be sick adults… healthy kids will eventually turn into healthy adults whose life isn’t limited by their health but simply by their imagination.
For the majority of kids, the way that we deliver the chiropractic adjustment is not much different than adults. The Torque Release Technique protocol works great, and the Integrator is gentle and specific enough for nearly everyone, however with kids there are some exceptions.

Infants and toddlers are adjusted by hand. Feeling along the spine Dr. Taylor can locate the area of subluxation. The pressure that is used to adjust these areas of nerve interference for a baby/toddler is compared to the pressure you would use to check the ripeness of an avocado. Children with Sensory Processing Disorders, in the beginning stages of care, find that the Integrator makes too loud of a sound and so adjusting with light pressure by hand may be necessary in these cases as well.

No matter which stage of life your children are in, many families are looking for answers and we know Pediatric Chiropractic offers hope!

Webster Technique

Chiropractic care is vital to the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby throughout pregnancy and birth. More women and birth providers are discovering the many benefits associated with chiropractic care during pregnancy and recognize this area of expertise through the ICPA Webster Certification. Dr. Taylor holds this certification and is extensively trained to care for planning, expecting and postpartum mothers.

The goal of the Webster Technique analysis and adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated. Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these contributing factors of dystocia.

At Renegade Chiropractic, we know that neurologically-based chiropractic care is a necessity for pregnant women to ensure a healthy pregnancy and birth. Care during pregnancy is vital to aid in the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby, not only during pregnancy but at delivery as well.

During Pregnancy: Many women don’t realize that there are options to correct several issues that they may be experiencing during pregnancy. Principled Chiropractic care throughout the duration of pregnancy not only relieves common complaints such as low back pain, but structurally aligns the pelvis for both mom and baby to be in perfect position for an optimal birth.

  • Reduces interference to the mother’s nervous system, which coordinates all the systems and functions in her body
  • Helps to create a state of balance in the pelvic muscles, ligaments, and bony structures, which prepares the pelvis for an easier pregnancy and birth
  • Reduces torsion to the woman’s uterus by removing tension on the ligaments that support the uterus
  • Allows for a safer and easier birth for the mother, decreasing the potential for intervention such as inducement or C-section
  • Detection and prevention of fetal malposition (breech and transverse babies)
  • Reduction in pelvic and back pain as mom’s body grows with her growing baby

After Pregnancy: Continuing Chiropractic care after birth provides numerous benefits to the mother, and subsequently, to the baby.

  • More comfort while breastfeeding
  • Greater production of breast milk
  • Less incidence of postpartum depression
  • Provides optimal environment and nerve supply to mother’s body as she adapts from pregnancy and delivery
