Birthing & Newborns Help

Birthing, Newborns, and Nerve

The human gestational period spans 280 days or 40 weeks, initiated from the first day of a woman’s last menstrual cycle. While fertilization usually occurs 2-3 weeks after this commencement, a “full-term” baby takes shape within the uterine confines for 37-42 weeks. It’s noteworthy that a mere 4% of women give birth on their projected “due date.”

The birthing process:

Exploring Commonly Utilized Terminology

  • Vaginal birth: Termed “natural birth,” this approach involves the mother’s active effort in delivering the baby through the birth canal. In the US, approximately 2,703,504 vaginal births transpire annually. (2) The associated average cost stands at $15,200.
  • Cesarean Section: This surgical procedure can be scheduled or emergent, encompassing an incision into the uterus to facilitate baby delivery. Approximately 1,272,503 Cesarean births take place annually in the US, accounting for 32% of all deliveries. (2) The average cost for a Cesarean birth reaches $24,300.
  • NICU Insights: Neonatal Intensive Care Units cater exclusively to the early or underdeveloped infants necessitating extra care or surgery. NICU daily expenses can exceed $3,500.
  • Home Birth: In the early 1900s, virtually all births occurred at home; by 1969, a mere 1% took place at home.  Approximately 12% of planned home births demand hospital transfers. Midwife-attended home births cost between $2,000 and $3,000 on average.

What does chiropractic have to do with the birthing process?

Chiropractic care assumes a pivotal role both during pregnancy and postpartum, benefiting both mother and child.

Amid pregnancy, shifting spinal biomechanics and the load-bearing postures can negatively impact the lower back and sacroiliac joints. One study revealed that 84% of pregnant women who received chiropractic adjustments experienced relief from back pain.

While many women assume a breech-positioned baby necessitates a Cesarean birth, the “Webster Technique” in chiropractic can facilitate pelvic bone, joint, ligament, and musculature balance, potentially enabling a breech baby to shift to a vertex position.

84% of women receiving chiropractic adjustments reported relief of back pain during pregnancy.

The Chiropractic Approach
Subluxations and Trauma

Nervous system compression, termed vertebral subluxation, stems from neurological trauma, negatively impacting an array of bodily tissues. (12,13) In newborns, vertebral subluxations might trigger colic, reflux, irritability, sleep disturbances, constipation, and varying levels of severity in conditions.

How many kids are at risk for vertebral subluxation?

In 1987, the German medical journal “Manuelle Medizin” investigated 1,250 newborns after 5 days of birth. Among these, 211 exhibited symptoms like vomiting, hyperactivity, or sleep disturbances. Upon examination, a staggering 95% displayed spinal abnormalities. Following chiropractic adjustments addressing these subluxations, tranquility set in—crying ceased, and restful sleep ensued.

In conclusion

Chiropractic care has demonstrated its efficacy across various stages of pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Excessive medical interventions can prove costly and add unwarranted risks to both mother and child. Chiropractic care offers a potential pathway to the birth experience you desire, potentially saving thousands by circumventing unnecessary surgeries.

Here’s Why Chiropractic Helps Relieve the Symptoms of Birthing & Newborns…

An optimally functioning nervous system is as important as the health of your muscular system, your digestive system, your cardiovascular system, or any of the other major systems in your body. In fact, the root cause for many conditions in these other systems is neurological.  This is precisely why chiropractic can help alleviate a diverse set of issues beyond just physical pain manifested through injury, and also help those who suffer from Carpal Tunnel,  Occupational Overuse Syndrome, and Cubital Tunnel Syndrome.

Using a very effective and gentle  neurological approach, Renegade Chiropractic helps maintain and dramatically improve the wellbeing of hundreds of individuals each year. We have delivered results for others, and believe we can do the same for you.

Fix your Health challenge at it’s source

The purpose of neurologically based chiropractic care is to specify where your nervous system is not communicating correctly. We utilize NASA certified technology to get an exact assessment of your nervous system. This information helps us identify the optimal adjustment plan and ultimately get results for patients who suffer from a wide variety of health conditions.
